Please be advised that this 2021 Student Coat Assistance program application is LIVE in the Gadugi portal today. The 2021 Student Coat Assistance Program administered through the Human Services Department is available to assist income-eligible Cherokee families with financial assistance to help meet their student’s clothing needs. This program is annual and provides $50 per child to income eligible, in reservation families. This year the application is online, via the Gadugi portal and therefore more accessible to families than ever before. Application Deadline: December 13, 2021. Eligibility Requirements: Citizenship: Student must be a current Cherokee Nation citizen. Income: There are income guidelines based on family size. Income verification is required to be uploaded to the application. If you have qualified for the income-based school clothing assistance in years’ past you may meet the income guidelines for this year’s winter coat assistance. Age: Students must be at least 5 years old by September 1, 2021 and cannot be over 18 years of age at the time of application ( if you have a student, age 19, who is still in high school please call Human Services via the helpline below) School: Students must be enrolled in Kindergarten-12th grade or equivalent school program; post-secondary students are not eligible. Student can be in public, private, virtual, or home school programs. Residency: Students must reside within the Cherokee Nation Reservation. This will be verified using the physical address provided on the application If you have any questions regarding eligibility or submission, please call 918-453-5058. Reindeer Run T-shirt sale ends tomorrow. Tuesday, November 30th. Shirt design - red shirt with brown antlers, “cutest” ”Wildcat” in blue, and “of all” in green for the nose. 7th Annual Reindeer Run Fundraiser **Please Make Checks Payable to: CHOUTEAU ELEMENTARY Our goal is for each student to raise a minimum of $20 in pledges or sponsorships. Parents, family, neighbors and friends can sponsor a student by making a donation of any amount. Donations are used to help give our students an awesome end of year field day and fun things throughout the year. If students get at least $20 in donation they will receive a 7th Annual Reindeer Run shirt. All CES students will complete in an obstacle course on December 14th at school. The race will end with a fun Christmas party in the classroom for students with snacks and a holiday movie. We want the kids to have fun and end the first semester with a celebration of meeting their school wide goal of 5,000 miles walked this semester. Thank you for the continued support of our students and staff.

Just a reminder for those who preregistered for Cheer Camp! When: MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, AND THURSDAY, 11/29th, Dec 1st, Dec 2nd, from 3-5:30 There WILL NOT BE CAMP on Tuesday due to an away game. They will perform Friday, December 3rd, during halftime of the girl’s game scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Where: Elementary Multipurpose Gym Who: ECC or Elementary students who have already registered.
